With the recent change of attitude towards medical cannabis from the perspective of the Federal government, the overall perception and landscape has begun to change, people are more open and accepting of medical marijuana as a legitimate medical treatment for their families as well as themselves. This all began when we passed the Montana Initiative 148 in 2004 by a 62% state wide yea vote, thus creating the Montana Medical Marijuana Act.  Even with the overall change in attitude towards marijuana as a medicine, it appears the knowledge readily available, regarding exactly how medical marijuana works, who can benefit from it and how patients can obtain it legally, is sorely lacking.

The people spoke, fulfilling our democratic responsibility, and as a result we all have a wonderful new option available to provide us hope for better daily wellness - Medical Marijuana.

As we all know, knowledge is power, so we would like to broaden the knowledge base around the state regarding medical marijuana, not only for the people who need it as medicine but for those that don’t so that they may have a better understanding of the law and how medical marijuana is beneficial to those that use it.  Its important that family and friends of medical marijuana patients, as well as the general public, know and understand how mother earths natural medicine works and can be truly beneficial to those suffering from a large variety of ailments.
